Department of Transportation SAP evaluations

The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

THE DOT/SAP PROCESS: Employers refer employees with a DOT violation to SAP Services; the SAP will conduct a face-to-face clinical assessment, then refer the individual to education and/or treatment. The SAP monitors the case, and conducts a return-to-duty assessment, as well as provides a follow-up testing schedule.

The total cost for the entire DOT/SAP Return-To-Work process is $400. For more information or to schedule an evaluation, please contact our QBH at 509-758-3341 OR our SAP Evaluator, Thea Skalicky MS, CDP, MAC, SAP at 509-769-6038.
